October, 2023 The Final conference of the project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route” On October 13, 2023, the Final conference was held in the framework of a project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route”, which is implemented by the public organisation “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” in the partnership with Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine) in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020. The aim of the conference was a summary of the results of the project implementation “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route”. Maria Kovaliv – Vice-chairman of the public organisation “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, Project Manager, made an opening speech to the conference participants. She noted that despite the challenges we faced in connection with Russian aggression against Ukraine, we worked for the successful implementation of the project, the project participants were committed to preserving cultural heritage and developing cultural tourism. The conference is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the successful implementation of the project, the best practices within the project, to develop cooperation for the quality management of cultural heritage and its use for the benefit of communities, and to promote the development of the Carpathian Cultural Route. Halyna Makota – Deputy Head of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration of Communities, Head of the Department of European Integration of Communities and Tourism of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, noted the importance of implementing projects in the field of cultural heritage, thanked Romania and the Romanian people for their support and assistance in the war against the Russian aggressor. The participants of the conference were addressed by Radu Big - the Executive Director of the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in which he emphasized the importance and innovation of the project for Ukraine and Romania. Oleg Mandryk, Professor of the Department of Ecology at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Project Communications Manager, in his welcoming speech noted the importance of the international project for the university. Expert of the Branch Office of the JTS of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 Oksana Shyychuk outlined the main projects of the Programme implemented in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and noted that this project is one of the most implemented projects of the Programme, and also introduced the conference participants to the next Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme. Maria Kovaliv – Vice-chairman of the public organisation “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, Project Manager, familiarized participants of the conference with the project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route”, outlined the main tasks, activities and results of the project, presented the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route and the joint Ukrainian-Romanian cultural heritage tourism product "Carpathian Cultural Route". Volodymyr Burdeniuk, Project Coordinator of the public organisation “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, and Radu Big, Executive Director of the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures, Project Coordinator (Romania), outlined the Carpathian Cultural Route cross-border route. Volodymyr Burdeniuk, Project Coordinator of the public organisation “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” presented the Ukrainian-Romanian website https://carpathianculturalroute.com created as part of the project. Liudmyla Arkhypova - Professor of the Ecology Department, Professor of the Tourism, Recreation and Regional Development Department, Project Coordinator, presented a mobile application. Radu Big - Executive Director of the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures, Project Coordinator (Romania), informed the participants of the project partners' meeting about digital tourist information points and information boards. The conference participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the presentation of the Carpathian Cultural Route objects, namely the National Reserve "Davniy Halych", Ukraine - Volodymyr Oliynyk, General Director of the National Reserve “Davniy Halych”; the Yosaphat Kobrynskyi National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art, Ukraine - Iryna Fediv – Deputy General Director of the Yosaphat Kobrynskyi National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art, reported on the Yosaphat Kobrynskyi National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art. Cristian Nistor – Priest at the Saint Anne Rohia Monastery Romania reported on the the Saint Anne Rohia Monastery Romania and – Museographer the Maramureș Museum, Sighetu Marmației (History and Archaeology Section), reported on the Maramureș Museum, Sighetu Marmației. The conference participants discussed the importance of implementing the project in the target region and expressed their readiness to further develop the Carpathian Cultural Route. Specific objectives are: to create an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services; to improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training programme; to promote an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” in the regional and international markets through the development of promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application. |
