October, 2023 Equipping the Carpathian Cultural Route with digital tourist information points and tourist information stands In October 2023, the public organization “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)" transferred over 10 digital tourist information points and 28 tourist information stands to the members of the Carpathian Cultural Route network in Ukraine for their arrangement. The information points contains comprehensive information about tourist sites within the Carpathian region, which will help visitors to find out a lot of cognitive and useful information about the Carpathian Cultural Route, and the information stand contains QR codes to the relevant mobile application, which will allow visitors to historical and cultural sites to plan their further tourist routes. Romania has also equipped the Carpathian Cultural Route with digital tourist information points and tourist information stands. In addition, the public organization “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)" transferred over catalogues, brochures, maps, and promotional materials published under the project "Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route" to the members of the Carpathian Cultural Route network. The Carpathian Cultural Route includes 40 of the most prominent and interesting historical and cultural heritage sites in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions of Ukraine and Maramures County in Romania. The Carpathian Cultural Route Network is a public initiative that unites participants on the basis of a memorandum of cooperation, defines and guarantees the quality, originality, uniqueness of creation, partnership, communication and promotion of the joint cross-border tourist product "Carpathian Cultural Route". The network includes representatives of historical and cultural sites, tourism enterprises and tourism-related service providers, which forms the basis of the Carpathian Cultural Route cross-border tourism product, to establish strong partnerships within the Carpathian Cultural Route (51 members). The network of the Carpathian Cultural Route includes the following 28 objects in Ukraine:
We want to develop a platform for cooperation and knowledge sharing to build a sustainable network for communication and future development. Reference: Project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route” is implemented in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 financed by the European Union https://huskroua-cbc.eu/. Overall objective of the Project is support to valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route as integrated cultural heritage tourism product within the cross-border regions of Romania and Ukraine. Specific objectives are: to create an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services; to improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training programme; to promote an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” in the regional and international markets through the development of promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application.
