January, 2025 The first Steering Committee meeting of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” Starting from January 2025, the implementation of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” has begun in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Zakarpattia Region (Ukraine) and Maramures County (Romania). The project aims is support to improve the visibility of the existing Carpathian Cultural Route as an instrument aimed to support the valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion. The project is realized by the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in the partnership with the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine) in the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme 2021-2027 (https://next.huskroua-cbc.eu). The first Steering Committee meeting of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” was held on January 23, 2025. During the meeting the procedure of selection of members of the Steering Committee was discussed, its composition was approved, Provisions and Regulations of the Project Steering Committee, the project implementation plan in the first year of the project, its main tasks and activities were considered. Particular attention was paid to the preparation and organization of the International Start Conference. Information about the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” Project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” is implemented by the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in the partnership with the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine) in the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme (https://next.huskroua-cbc.eu). Overall objective of the Project is to improve the visibility of the existing Carpathian Cultural Route as an instrument aimed to support the valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion. Specific objectives: 1. To enlarge the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services. 2. To improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training and sharing experience program. 3. To improve the visibility of the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” at the regional and international level through the development of digital promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application. Project duration: 24 months. Total budget of the Project: EUR 318 301,20, including EU contribution - EUR 286 471,08. Locations of the Project: Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Zakarpattia Region), Romania (Maramures County). Target groups: historical and cultural objects, the government and local self-government institutions, scientists, relevant civil society institutions. Final beneficiaries: potential and existing visitors (300 000); local population of the Region (across the CCR Route located in in the Region (Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Zakarpattia Region and Maramures County)) (about 500 000); historical and cultural objects (100); tour-operators companies and tourism-related service providers (200). Estimated results: Quantitative results: 1 Steering Committee set-up; 4 meetings of Steering Committee; 2 conferences open/close project (50 participants); 2 project expert groups (1 in RO 1 in UA); 8 expert group meetings; 2 round tables sessions (50 participants); 1 analytic research updated (Ukrainian, Romanian, integrated); 1 sociological survey updated (Ukrainian, Romanian, integrated); 1 database updated; 1integrated cultural heritage tourism product "Carpathian Cultural Route" updated (12 new members); 12 tourist information boards (for new members); 1 network – updated (62 members); 4 training modules and 2 workshops (60 participants); 2 exchange of experience tours (30 participants); 2 international conferences ”Carpathian Culture Days” (100 persons), 1 trilingual Guide “Carpathian Cultural Route”; 1 trilingual training manual; 1 trilingual website updated; 1mobile application updated. Qualitative results: improve the Carpathian Cultural Route visibility, creation of better conditions for preservation and promotion of local culture on international levels; improved systematic approach to creating new cultural products; development of new products on the basis of Carpathian Cultural Route; development of new investments in historical and cultural objects on the basis of the created partnerships; increase in the number of visitors in the Region; improvement of the skills and knowledge level of the representatives of historical and cultural objects, local government, SMEs and NGOs through the training programs; promotion of the Carpathian Region as cultural destination. |
