The fourth expert group meeting of the project "Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route"

On June 17, 2022,  the fourth expert group meeting was held in Ivano-Frankivsk under the project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route” implemented by the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF) ”in partnership with Development Center for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Program 2014 -2020. The project is co-financed by the European Union.

The meeting of the expert group considered the implementation of the project "Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route", the list of cultural and historical sites of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions that are included of the Carpathian Cultural Route, the structure of information about the Carpathian Cultural Route, the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route, brand and marketing strategy of the Carpathian Cultural Route, slogan of the Carpathian Cultural Route, creating a network of interested institutions, which forms the basis of the Carpathian Cultural Route, the list of documents for transnational recognition of the Carpathian Cultural Route were discussed.

Mariya Kovaliv Vice-chairman of the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, project manager, Deputy Head of the Expert Group familiarized participants with the project implementation “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route”, presented the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route, creation of the network of interested institutions, which forms the basis of the Carpathian Cultural Route, the list of documents for transnational recognition of the Carpathian Cultural Route.

Volodymyr Burdeniuk – Project Coordinator of the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, secretary of the expert group, reported on the list of cultural and historical sites of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions that are included of the Carpathian Cultural Route.

Liudmyla Arkhypova – Head of the Tourism Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Project Coordinator, presented the brand and marketing strategy of the Carpathian Cultural Route, slogan of the Carpathian Cultural Route.

Vitaliy Perederko – Head of the expert group and Head of the Tourism Department of the Department of International Cooperation, European Integration, Tourism and Investments of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, noted that the Carpathian Cultural Route because it is not just a tourist product, but a cultural one. He accumulated in itself the ethnic culture not only of Ukrainians, but also of other peoples who lived or stayed in the Carpathian region, architecture, crafts. The project also represents a modern interpretation of the centuries-old cultural layer of the region.

Oleg Mandryk - First Vice-Rector of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Project Communication Manager noted the high professional level of preparation of the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route.

The discussion of the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route, brand and marketing strategy of the Carpathian Cultural Route, slogan of the Carpathian Cultural Route Route, creating a network of interested institutions, which forms the basis of the Carpathian Cultural Route, the list of documents for transnational recognition of the Carpathian Cultural Route was attended by: was attended by:  Oleg Mandryk - First Vice-Rector of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Project Communication Manager, Maria Makivnychuk - Deputy of the Verkhovyna Village Council, Andriy Stasiuk – Head of the Scientific and Educational Department of the National Reserve "Ancient Halych", Mykola Prykhodko - Professor of the Department of Land Management and Cadaster of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Halyna Bednarchyk - Director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Local Lore, Viktor Kuzmyn - Member of the Board of the public organization "Research and Consulting and Practical Center for Business, Marketing and Law", Roman Shevchyk - local development and business expert, Iryna Fediv – Deputy Director General for Research of the Yosafat Kobrynskyi National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art.

Project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route” is implemented in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 financed by the European Union https://huskroua-cbc.eu/. Overall objective of the Project is support to valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route as integrated cultural heritage tourism product within the cross-border regions of Romania and Ukraine. Specific objectives are: to create an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services; to improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training programme; to promote an integrated cultural heritage tourism product “Carpathian Cultural Route” in the regional and international markets through the development of promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application.
