International workshop “Practical aspects of investment attraction and support of investment projects”.
From 20 to 23 September 2014, in Yaremche, the international workshop “Practical aspects of investment attraction and support of investment projects” was held in the framework of the project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region” which is realized by the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk in partnership with the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) and Department for International Cooperation, European Integration and Tourist Infrastructure Development of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.
The project aims at strengthening social and economic development in the Carpathian Region by fostering cooperation among the small and medium sized enterprises to solve investment problems in the region, create a favourable investment climate in Ukrainian-Romanian cross-border region, improving its image through cross-border cooperation.
The aim of the seminar is the improvement of the skills and knowledge level of the representatives of small and medium sized enterprises and local government officials in the sphere of investment activity.
The workshop lasted 4 days and was attended by more than 50 participants from different districts of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine and Maramures County, Romania, including the representatives of small and medium sized enterprises and local government bodies. The participants that were present at the seminar confirmed the importance and relevance of the acquired knowledge for their work by their active participation.
The workshop participants became familiar with the theoretical course, namely innovative and investment development of territories; ways of investment attraction and priority directions of investment activity; cooperation with investors; preparation of investment projects.
In the framework of the workshop, participants made presentations on the best practices of activity of small and medium sized enterprises in Ukraine and Romania. Participants of the school, in addition to gaining theoretical knowledge during the workshop, were able to participate in discussions, share experiences while working in groups and during practical classes. As a result of group work, workshop participants prepared investment proposals regarding the perspectives of development and improvement of enterprises’ activity, as well as investment products and their promotion on the European market.
At the end of workshop, the participants were awarded with certificates. High level of organization and carrying out of training received positive feedback and appreciation on the part of state and local government bodies, small and medium sized enterprises that participated in the workshop, as evidenced by the evaluation questionnaire and gratitude.
