The Opening Conference of a project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”
On February 28, 2014, the Opening Conference was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, in the framework of a project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”, which is realized by the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk in partnership with the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) and Main Department for Tourism, European Integration, External Relations and Investments of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013. It included partners of the project, representatives of Ivano-FrankivskRegionalCenter for Investments and Development, government and local self-government institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, business associations and enterprise support funds, business centers, other public organizations of Ivano-Frankivsk Region and MaramuresCounty (Romania).
The aim of the conference was official inauguration of the project project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”. The information about the project, investment potential of Ivano-Frankivsk Region and MaramuresCounty, activities of the project partners, namely the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures, was presented during the conference. The participants were also familiarized with experience of investment attraction in the development of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme of the conference envisages discussion of the main directions of project realization, which will promote the development of an open dialogue among the conference participants, as well as intersectoral cooperation in the project implementation.
Maria Kovaliv – vice-chairman of the Board of the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk, project manager, familiarized participants of the conference with the project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”, outlined the main tasks and aims of the project. Radu Big – executive manager of Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania), presented the activity of the Centre as a partner organization of the project. Oksana Fedorovych – director of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Investment and Development, familiarized participants of the conference with the investment potential of Ivano-Frankivsk Region and Delia Ruzsa – chief of Department for Project Implementation of Maramures County Council, reported on the investment potential of Maramures County, Mykola Yefimchuk – deputy director of The Bohorodchanska-1 Solar Power Plant limited liability company, familiarized the conference participants with the activity of solar power plant, Bohdan Demchyna – director “Microl” limited liability company, familiarized the participants with production of technical processes' automation means. Mirel Mihali – deputy chief of the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures, presented information about renewable energy in Maramures County and Nicolae Dascalescu – director of the TechnoCAD SA (Romania), familiarized the participants with activity of the Centre.
Participants of the conference discussed the importance of the project implementation in the target region, received exhaustive answers to their questions, and expressed their willingness to participate in the project activities.
