The second partner meeting of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route”
On July 24, 2025, the second partner meeting of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route”, which is implemented by the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in the partnership with the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” (Ukraine) and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine) in the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme. The project is co-financed by the European Union.
The project partner meeting considered of the implementation of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route”, on finalisation of the assessment of the heritage potential through research, surveys and database, development, planning and implementation of the enlargement of the Carpathian Cultural Route, namely: updating the Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route for valorisation and promotion, updating the marketing strategy and developing a 5-year brand promotion plan; expanding the network of stakeholder institutions and organisations that form the basis of the Carpathian Cultural Route; presentation of the Carpathian Cultural Route at 2 round tables; on the preparation of training materials.
Radu Big - Executive Director of the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania), General Project Manager, Mariya Kovaliv – Vice-chairman of the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, Project Manager, Liudmyla Arkhypova - Professor of the Department of Ecology of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Project Manager reported on the progress of the project “Improving the visualisation of common cultural heritage through the Carpathian Cultural Route” from January 2025 to July 2025, outlined the tasks of the planned activities within the framework of the project implementation on the Ukrainian and Romanian sides. Particular attention was paid to the design, planning and expansion of the Carpathian Cultural Route, the list of cultural and historical sites selected in Ukraine and Romania for the Carpathian Cultural Route; and the creation of the Carpathian Cultural Route network.

Project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” is implemented in the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme (https://next.huskroua-cbc.eu). Overall objective of the Project is to improve the visibility of the existing Carpathian Cultural Route as an instrument aimed to support the valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion. Specific objectives are: to enlarge the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services; to improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training and sharing experience program; to improve the visibility of the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” at the regional and international level through the development of digital promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application.
