Focus group meeting held in the framework of the project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”
Focus group meeting was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, on May 28, 2015, in the framework of the project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”, which is implemented by the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk and Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in partnership with the Department for International Cooperation, European Integration and Tourist Infrastructure of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.
During the focus group meeting Mariya Kovaliv – Vice Chairman of the Board of the Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk, Project Manager, familiarized the meeting participants with the implementation of the project “Promotion of investment opportunities and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises through development of cross-border ties in the Carpathian region”, preparation and publication of promotional materials, organization of International Investment Forum. Zinoviy Mazur – Head of the Department for Interregional Cooperation, Investment and External Economic Activity of the Department for International Cooperation and Interregional Integration of the Department for International Cooperation, European Integration and Tourist Infrastructure Development of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, made proposals concerning the organization of International Investment Forum, work of the forum participants in thematic sections.
International Investment Forum “Investments in the Carpathian Region”, the main aim of which is to present investment potential and investment projects (proposals) of small and medium-sized enterprises of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and Maramures County (Romania), search for investors and attract investments, establish new business contacts between the participants, will take place in Ivano-Frankivsk, on June 23-24, 2015.
The discussion was supported by the representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, representatives of local government and self-government bodies, business centres, and public organizations of the region.
Participants of the focus group discussed the results of project implementation and noted their importance for the formation of favourable investment climate and improvement of investment activity in the region.
