Public debates were held in Ivano-Frankivsk on September 20, 2001 under the framework of the Economic and Social Development Project (ESDP), implemented jointly by the Ministry of Economy and the UN Development Program. Association for Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk and the Regional State Administration organized the debates in Ivano-Frankivsk Region. Guest speakers included representatives from the Ministry of Economy, State Committee, the Institute of Municipal and Regional Development (Kyiv), Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, as well as NGOs and local businesses
