November, 2025 Round table of the project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route” On November 14, 2025 the round table was held in the framework of a project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route”, which is implemented by the Development Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Maramures (Romania) in the partnership with the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)” (Ukraine) and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ukraine) in the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme. The project is co-financed by the European Union. The aim of the of the round table was to present the Carpathian Cultural Route. The round table was attended by more than 30 representatives of historical and cultural objects, tourism companies and tourism-related service providers, the government and local self-government institutions, scientists, public organizations of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia Regions of Ukraine. The project “Improve the visibility of the joint cultural heritage through Carpathian Cultural Route”, the updated Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route, sociological research on visitors and historical, cultural and natural heritage sites to expand the Carpathian Cultural Route, an updated marketing strategy and a 5-year plan to promote the Carpathian Cultural Route brand were presented during the round table. During the round table, the participants of the round table discussed the Carpathian Cultural Route created, which will contribute to the establishment of an open dialogue, intersectoral partnership of the Carpathian Cultural Route Network. Mariya Kovaliv – Vice-chairman of the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, project manager, made an introductory speech to the conference participants. She noted that the conference is a great opportunity to share and exchange practical and scientific experience, new achievements in the field of culture and tourism, to establish sustainable cooperation for quality management of cultural heritage and its use for the benefit of communities, to promote the development of the Carpathian Сultural Route. Halyna Makota – Deputy Director of the Department - Head of the Department of European Integration of Communities and Tourism of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of Communities of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, addressed the participants of the round table with a speech, in which she focused on the importance and innovativeness of the project for Ukraine and Romania, its role in the development of the tourism and cultural potential of communities.' Expert of the Ivano-Frankivsk Branch Office of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg NEXT Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Oksana Shyychuk, in her welcoming speech noted the importance of the project in preserving cultural heritage, developing cross-border cooperation, and noted the high-quality work of the project team from the beginning of its implementation and during its continuation. Mariya Kovaliv – Vice-chairman of the NGO “Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk (AEDIF)”, project manager, familiarized participants of the conference with the project “Valorisation of the historical and cultural heritage through the development and promotion of the Carpathian Cultural Route”, outlined the main tasks and activities of the project, presented the update Concept of the Carpathian Cultural Route. Volodymyr Burdenyuk – project coordinator of the NGO "Association of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk region (AERIF)" introduced the participants to the tour and objects included in the Carpathian Cultural Route. Lyudmila Arkhipova – professor at the Department of Ecology at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, project manager, familiarised the round table participants with the sociological surveys conducted as part of the project. Iryna Kinash – Head of the Department of Management and Administration at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, marketing expert, presented to the round table participants an updated marketing strategy and a 5-year plan for promoting the Carpathian Cultural Route brand. The participants of the round table discussed the importance of creating and developing the Carpathian Cultural Route, and expressed their willingness to participate in the project's activities. Overall objective of the Project is to improve the visibility of the existing Carpathian Cultural Route as an instrument aimed to support the valorisation of the cultural and historical heritage in the Carpathian Euroregion. Specific objectives are: to enlarge the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” that connect places of historical and cultural heritage with other attractions and services; to improve the skills and knowledge of cultural tourism representatives through the training and sharing experience program; to improve the visibility of the integrated cultural heritage product “Carpathian Cultural Route” at the regional and international level through the development of digital promotional materials, joint online information sources and mobile application.
